AVAILABLE STEEL GRADES

A steel circle is a solid metal product, which looks like a smooth reinforcement with a rounded cross section. The steel circle, like steel wire rod, steel angle, steel strip, steel square, refers to high-quality rolled metal.

Steel circles are made in various ways. The most common is the hot rolled method. At the same time, the metal blank undergoes special processing on lathes, as a result of which a steel circle is made.

Wheels are also produced using cold drawing with a slight reduction of steel after hot rolling. This method allows for more accurate product dimensions, improved product surface, and additional strength.

Properties and characteristics of European steel bar
Wheels according to EN and ASTM standards are made from alloyed and unalloyed steels. Thanks to this, the steel bar is characterized by corrosion resistance, resistance to moisture, acids, alkalis, and other negatively influencing external factors. Products easily withstand significant axial loads, including as elements of load-bearing structures.

Low-alloy or structural steels provide elasticity and ductility of products. They are characterized by an unhindered change in shape in a cold state, taking into account the competent distribution of loads. Low alloy steels have higher strength and toughness compared to low carbon alloys. Therefore, products with these steels in the composition are less susceptible to cracks, chips and other defects.

Wheels made of unalloyed ordinary steel are characterized by high resistance and withstand significant loads. After galvanizing, the steel acquires additional anti-corrosion properties.

Products made of high-quality structural unalloyed steel are distinguished by their high strength, which makes it possible to use the European circle as an element of structures with variable loads.

Tool steel bars are characterized by ease of processing, material stability during hardening, and high impact strength. This facilitates the use of steel wheels for the manufacture of specialized tools. Tool steels for general use are regulated by the EN ISO 4957 standard, in particular, the product quality class and its shape are established.
The general characteristics of the circle (bar) EN and ASTM include:
• high performance;
• acceptable price;
• practicality of the material;
• easy to use;
• widespread use;
• availability of processing;
• relatively low weight.

The steels are standardized in accordance with European specifications.

The ASTM standard focuses on certain types of steel products:
• hot-worked and cold-drawn bars - ASTM A29;
• forgings for pipelines - ASTM A105;
• bolts for use at low temperatures - ASTM A320;
• forgings with impact strength tests - ASTM A350;
• forged rods and hot worked bars - ASTM A576.

EN steels are regulated by purpose:
• for semi-finished products - EN 10087;
• for vessels that work under pressure - EN 10207;
• for the manufacture of hardened machine body parts - EN 10084;
• for fasteners - EN 10269;
• for hardening and tempering - EN 10083-1, -2, -3;
• for cold heading and cold extrusion - EN 10263-2, -3, -4;
• for general technical use - EN 10277-2, -3, -4, -5.

Hot-rolled circles made of unalloyed structural and normalized rolled steels (including weldable fine-grained steels) after heat treatment are regulated by EN standard 10025-2, -3.

The dimensions of the euro bar are determined by the diameter of the product, which varies from 2 to 500 mm. Product lengths are available upon request.
Application of a circle (rod) European according to EN and ASTM standards

The mechanical and physical characteristics of the steel from which the rods are made contribute to their widespread use. One of the main areas of application of circles is construction. They use products for the construction of country and household farms, farm and city buildings. Bars are applicable in both frame and monolithic construction. More often as a reinforcing element of building frames, reinforcing floors.

Products are also widespread in architecture, where they are used to form various metal structures and volumetric frames; construction of fences, gates, trellises or fences. Also, rods are presented in the design in the form of forged furniture parts, interior accessories, auxiliary decorative elements.

The industries of application of the steel circle (bar) include:

  • energy;
  • machine tool building;
  • mechanical engineering;
  • shipbuilding;
  • instrumentation;
Agriculture.

European circles in the form of blanks are in demand:

  • at factories for the manufacture of pipes;
  • for the production of parts of varying complexity on metalworking machines:
  • as a basis for high-quality rolled metal products;
  • for industrial goods and machine mechanisms.

Also rods are used in welded structures and grounding systems.

At the same time, European rods are suitable for the manufacture of specialized tools and machine tool components. The most popular are grinding balls, cutting parts, double-turn washers.
